Internships

  1. Research Assistant

    (Feb 2024 - Present)

    Robotics and Autonomous Systems (RAAS) Lab - UMD, College Park   

    Working on Imitation and Reinforcement Learning algorithms for complex long-horizon robotic manipulation tasks. Developed PLANRL, a hybrid approach that combines tradiational path planning with imitation bootstrapped reinforcement learning to improve robotic manipulation ability to handle complex tasks efficiently.

  2. Research Intern

    (Dec 2022 - Aug 2023)

    Robotics Research Center [RRC] - IIIT Hyderabad, India

    Designed, Modeled and fabricated a novel gripper for aerial robot to latch on the Transmission line for inspection. Implemented drone simulations of gripper design using PX4 SITL, that autonomously latches onto the transmission wire while avoiding obstacles. Led 15+ hours on-field drone flight tests, with the gripper mounted on a DJI F550 and developed a tangible Proof of Concept.

  3. Software Intern

    (Mar 2022 - Jun 2022)

    Capgemini - Chennai, India

    Worked in development of real-world software applications using .NET technology, C# and SQL. Collaborated as a team to successfully develop an e-commerce software using C# and Microsoft .NET and extended it to a web platform

  4. Research Intern

    (May 2021 - Oct 2021)

    CAD MAcRO Design and Solutions - Chennai, India

    Developed an advanced Sheet Metal Unfolding software that outlines the steps for manufacturing a given sheet metal part. Refined and implemented a 3D transformation algorithm, “Center triangle,” to optimize the unfolding process and developed a fully functional CAD software using Microsoft .NET, Windows Presentation Framework (WPF), and the Eyeshot framework, meeting all project specifications.
